A conversation with Reverend Richard Hong of the First Presbyterian Church in Englewood on his spiritual response to the fire that destroyed his church building in March 2016.
On Tisha B'Av, when we traditionally remember and mourn the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, Rev. Hong and Rabbi Jordan Millstein of Temple Sinai will discuss Jewish and Christian understandings of loss and sacred space.
The Tisha B'Av program will be followed by a brief service and readings from the Book of Lamentations, as is traditional for this evening.
