Make an Impact Through
Enhanced Membership Participation
Each year, we ask those who are able to consider sustaining our Temple Sinai community by contributing financially above your basic membership level. Your support makes it possible for us to welcome congregants experiencing financial hardship, educate the next generation of Reform Jews in our Religious School, and reach our highest potential. We need your help!
Please consider an additional gift of any amount. Members who make their pledge prior to the High Holy Days each year will be recognized as follows:
Haverim & Bonim will be recognized with acknowledgment in the donor honor roll, including outside the main Sanctuary, and invitations to special events.
Re’im will also be recognized as sponsors of the Annual Gala (including tickets and ads, if applicable), and also receive an invitation to the annual donor celebration, hosted by the Executive Director and Rabbi. These donors will also be recognized with acknowledgment in the donor honor roll, including outside the main Sanctuary, and invitations to special events.
Shomrim & Malachim will additionally be recognized as sponsors of all annual fundraising events with free attendance and will receive an invitation to an intimate dinner with the Rabbi and Cantor. These donors will also be recognized as sponsors of the Annual Gala (including tickets and ads, if applicable), and also receive an invitation to the annual donor celebration, hosted by the Executive Director and Rabbi. Finally, Shomrim & Malachim donors will also be recognized with acknowledgment in the donor honor roll, including outside the main Sanctuary, and invitations to special events.
Haverim (Friends) $1,800 Shomrim (Guardians) $7,200
Bonim (Builders) $3,600 Malachim (Angels) $10,000+
Re’im (Partners) $5,400
These membership levels are in addition to regular annual dues and specifically help to defray the costs for families who cannot afford to pay their full dues.
Annual Fund
This cornerstone fund raising appeal invites our congregation to provide annual support coincident with the High Holy Days, a traditional time to support one's synagogue. This financial participation is essential because dues and tuition are not sufficient to maintain a progressive Jewish presence in our area.
In addition, the donations insure that our programs are fully funded and that all who wish to join our congregation and participate in our community can do so regardless of their ability to pay. At Temple Sinai, no one is turned away due to financial hardship.
Planned Giving
By including Temple Sinai in your estate planning, you may increase your current income and provide future support for areas of the congregation that are important to you. Often, you can make a larger gift than you might have thought possible, while also benefiting yourself and your family. Planned gifts may be eligible for immediate tax deductions or reduce estate taxes for you and your children.
Tree of Life
Honor a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, a new baby, a special birthday, anniversary, of other occasion by contributing to this art work on the wall of the Temple lobby with an engraved, permanent installation:
Brass leaf $500 Pomegranate $1,800
Copper leaf $1,000 Garden Rock $3,600
Yahrzeit
Your donation pays tribute to beloved family members and friends who are no longer with us, but whose memory is very much alive. Please contact our office to purchase a plaque in our Memorial Alcove, outside the sanctuary, ensuring that your loved ones' names will be read aloud on their yahrzeit in perpetuity.
