Adult Education

Ongoing adult education offerings include two classes that meet on Sundays

  • Kulanu – is a weekly Jewish Studies class led by Miriam Gray that explores Judaism that meets on Sunday, 9:30 am – 11:00 am. A modest fee applies.
  • Kollel – is a weekly adult education (Judaica mini-series) led by Rabbi Millstein or Cantor Nitza that meets on Sunday, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM. This is a free class for our members.

Shabbat Morning Torah Study
Saturday, 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Part book group, part religious study and at times a Chaverah, the discussion is led by either Rabbi Jordan Millstein, adjunct Rabbi Larry Troster, Cantor Nitza Amit Shamah or Religious School Director Sara Kaplan. Study is accessible to all who are eager, whether a novice or an advanced student. All classes are in English and any Hebrew portions are fully explained.

Participants share the same amazement at how touched they are by the "book" and how it has grown on them. They do indeed find it a "tree of life."

Monday Lunch & Learn
Monday, 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM

Come lunch with Rabbi Millstein to discuss current events and the world Jewish community each Monday! All are welcome to join this free engaging class. Please bring your own "brown bag" lunch!

Tikkun Leil Shavuot
Shabuot evening, 8:30 PM - 11:00 PM

On Shavuot we celebrate both the revelation of our Torah and the harvest in the Land of Israel. For many years, Jews have begun this celebration with a night of study and community. We gather in a relaxed atmosphere to study, to learn, and to share a light meal and socialize.
