Each year, we ask that those who are able to increase their membership level to do so at an enhanced level. These enhanced levels include the following and donors are acknowledged on the plaque immediately outside of the sanctuary: Haverim (Fellows) $1,200, Chai (Life) $1,800, Re'im (Benefactors) $3,200, and Malachim (Angels) $5,000.
These dues are in addition to regular annual dues and specifically help to defray the costs for families who cannot afford to pay their full dues.
This cornerstone fund raising appeal invites our congregation to provide annual support coincident with the High Holy Days, a traditional time to support one's synagogue. This financial participation is essential because dues and tuition are not sufficient to maintain a progressive Jewish presence in the area along with educating our students.
In addition, the donations ensure that our programs are fully funded and that all who wish to join our congregation and participate in our community can do so regardless of their ability to pay. At Temple Sinai, no one is turned away due to true financial hardship.
We invite you to play a part in the life of our temple family with your participation, making it possible for all to play, study and worship in this breathtaking new space. Plus, opportunities remain to sponsor specific items in the playground and to purchase customized brick pavers, commemorating your special events.
Temple Sinai has established Special Funds that support specific areas of synagogue life and activities, Gifts of any size are welcomed and greatly appreciated and you may select where you would like your donation to be credited.
By including Temple Sinai in your financial and estate plans, you may increase your current income and provide future support for areas of the congregation that are important to you. Often you can make a larger gift than you might have thought possible, while also benefiting yourself and your family. Planned gifts may be eligible for immediate tax deductions or reduce estate taxes to you and your children.
Honor a loved one with a leaf on our Tree of Life, mark the passage of a child's graduation on our newly installed Sinai Wall of Scholars and remember a Yahrzeit with a dedication on our Sanctuary wall.
