We invite your participation in our Temple Sinai community and family. With a rich history in Bergen County, we embrace the principles of Reform Judaism. The great contribution of Reform Judaism is that it has enabled the Jewish people to introduce innovation while preserving tradition, to embrace diversity while asserting commonality, to affirm beliefs without rejecting those who doubt and to bring faith to sacred texts without sacrificing critical scholarship (for more information on Reform Judaism please see What is Reform?).
Our youngest tots gain a first exposure to Judaism in our outstanding Early Childhood Center. Education for our children continues through religious school, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Confirmation, and our youth programs. For children of all ages, there are lifelong learning opportunities including Torah study.
Social action activities also define Temple Sinai with established programming consistent with the principles of Tikkun Olom, helping to repair our world.

For many, music forms a path into spirituality and worship. Shabbat worship incorporates music, including participation from our students. Each Religious School grade learns to sing all the prayers and leads an entire Friday night service each year. Bat-Kol Junior Choir gives those who are interested in performing an opportunity to study a wider musical repertoire. All our B’nei Mitzvah students chant their Torah and Haftarah portions using traditional trope. On the Shabbat when they lead services and become Bar/Bat Mitzvah, each student conducts the service and leads the congregation in song. Post Bar/Bat Mitzvah students and lay leaders chant Torah and Haftarah portions on the holidays and throughout the year.
We are a warm and vibrant congregation with diverse ages, interests, and religious backgrounds. Our members come together from throughout Bergen County and beyond.
